John 17:3 And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent.
- How does God define our salvation in John 17:3?
Jer 9:23 Thus saith the LORD, Let not the wise man glory in his wisdom, neither let the mighty man glory in his might, let not the rich man glory in his riches: 24 But let him that glorieth glory in this, that he understandeth and knoweth me, that I am the LORD which exercise lovingkindness, judgment, and righteousness, in the earth: for in these things I delight, saith the LORD
- What should be the most important thing in life for us?
- What points in the character of God are important to recognize? What do these points mean to us?
Ps 89:14 Justice and judgment are the habitation of thy throne: mercy and truth shall go before thy face.

- What is the benefit for us of knowing God? Under what conditions do we have to comply before God will give us this benefit?
1John 5:11 And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. 1John 5:20 And we know that the Son of God is come, and hath given us an understanding, that we may know him that is true, and we are in him that is true, even in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life.
- What does it mean that we are in the truth and in Jesus Christ? 1Jn 2:3-6
1John 2:3 And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments. 4 He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him. 5 But whoso keepeth his word, in him verily is the love of God perfected: hereby know we that we are in him. 6 He that saith he abideth in him ought himself also so to walk, even as he walked.
