Resisting Porn is a tract explaining why and how we resist seeing bad images, and the problems related to this.

Job 31:1 I made a covenant with mine eyes; why then should I think upon a maid?

Pornography has become a serious problem in our society. Sometimes it seems that one cannot even walk in the street without seeing 100 meter high warnings of naked women. In each corner there are posts that sell pornography, and one cannot be in public places without a television with programs or warnings with partially naked or naked women. One goes to any public place and the women there certainly have little clothes on their sexual parts, or the clothes are transparent, or too tight to attract attention and cause the sin of greed.

Seeing a Woman to covet her

The problems of pornography fall into three main ones: (1) It is to sin against the Lord – One is coveting what is not his, and for God, coveting a woman is just as having sex outside of marriage (adultery or fornication). (2) It is to sin against your partner – One is disloyal, not faithful, to your partner. If one is not married, he is acting in impurity, youth passions (“Flee from youth passions” 2 Timothy 2:22) which is a sin. (3) It is to sin against oneself, against oneself.

Matthew 5:27 You heard it said: You will not commit adultery.28 But I tell you that anyone who looks at a woman to covet her, (

(“To covet” is to take pleasure in something, to desire or to search for oneself (illegitimately) or in an illegitimate objective.) 1 Kings 21 relates the bad maneuver that King Ahab did to remove Nabot and get himself a vineyard. It is not a sin to buy a land, but when they do not leave you or it is not legal, and to follow with anxiety to get something is to covet it.)) already adulterated with her in his heart.

Exodus 20:17 You will not covet your neighbor’s house, you will not covet your neighbor’s wife, ((Romans 13:9 For you will not commit adultery, you will not kill, you will not steal, you will not say false testimony, you will not covet, and any other commandment, this sentence sums up: You will love your neighbor as yourself.)) Neither his servant, nor his maid, nor his ox, nor his ass, nor anything of your neighbor.

Jeremiah 5:8 Like well-fed horses, each one whinnied after the wife of his neighbor.

(1) Seeing her to covet her is adultery – Here Jesus broadens the definition of adultery to be more than having sex to having them mentally. Thoughts are where Satan wins us in this battle. If we really talk about this matter, men see naked women because they want them. There is a desire deep in your heart towards this woman, and this desire is only correct when the woman is your legal wife. How sad that men cannot stop thinking like that towards any woman they see, but they ignore and belittle their own wife in this regard.

Ephesians 5:3 But fornication and all filthiness, or greed, not even be named among you, as is fitting for saints; 5 For you know this, that no fornicator, or filthy, or greedy, who is an idolater, has an inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God.

God makes it hard with greed. People who are fornicators have another god, practice idolatry, and have no part in the kingdom of God (they are not saved). Talk to prostitutes and homosexuals, and you present the gospel to them and it is always the same, they do not accept the Lord because they want to give up their unbridled sex life. It is his idol.

(2) Disloyalty to his partner (adultery) – After all, Jesus put all this in perspective for us in Matthew 5:27-28. To covet a woman (for seeing, reading, or thinking) is just as sinful as if you were actually going to her and doing it for real. The consequences of AIDS, sexual illness, unwanted babies, etc. may not come, but in the eyes of God, it is the same.

Proverbs 5:18 May your spring be blessed, and rejoice with the woman of your youth,

Malachi 2:14 But you will say, Why? For Jehovah has witnessed between you and the woman of your youth, against whom you have been disloyal, being she your partner, and the woman of your covenant.

God puts loyalty to your partner in a spiritual context. Wandering from the heart is a spiritual fall with God both with the vows with your partner.

(3) It is a sin against your own body. Sins of fornication (sexual impurity) are sins that harm the very being of the person who makes them. Spiritually we harm ourselves in getting into fornication or adultery.

1 Corinthians 6:18 Flee from fornication. Any other sin that man commits is outside the body; but he who fornicates against his own body sins.

Romans 6:12 Do not reign, then, sin in your mortal body, so that you obey it in its lusts; 13 neither do you present your members to sin as instruments of iniquity, but present yourselves to God as living from the dead, and your members to God as instruments of justice.

Romans 1:24 Wherefore God also delivered them to uncleanness, in the lusts of their hearts, so that they dishonored their own bodies among themselves,

We must fight to stop and remove all sin from our lives, but especially we must prevent lending to sexual sins. These sins cause God to leave us in them, and God does not bring us closer to help us, but leaves us far from God, because they are particularly disgusting abominations before God.

We must be happy

Hebrews 13:5 Be your customs without greed (greed), happy with what you have now; because he said: I will not forsake you, nor will I leave you;

We must be content within God’s plan for us. Happiness is found by working hard and making oneself satisfied with what God provides. God instructs us that if we have sexual desires, and cannot contain ourselves with celibacy, we must marry a young Christian girl.

1 Corinthians 7:8 So I say to single men and widows, how good it would be for them to stay like me; 9 but if you have no gift of continence, marry, ((1 Cor 7:36 “do not sin, marry”, 39 “free is to marry whomever you want, as long as it is in the Lord” (except, with a believer).)) It is better to marry than to burn.

Of course she must be a Christian, a person of good faith in God. Paul is treated in this chapter about fornication that attacks us. Our biblical defense against fornication is to have relationships ((Sex is not a sin. Sex outside marriage with a person is sin, fornication or adultery. We must not lose this point, Hebrews 13:4 Honor be in all the marriage, and the bed without blemish, but fornicators and adulterers God will judge. “Bed” is the sexual act of having sex.)) with our partner, who once married, is not an option but a duty Spiritual before God. 1 Thessalonians 4:3 for the will of God is your sanctification; that you depart from fornication; 4 that each one of you knows how to have his own wife in holiness and honor;

This is why God sets the rules regarding sex very clear.

1 Corinthians 7:1 As for the things you wrote to me, it would be good for a man not to touch a woman; 2 But because of fornications, everyone has his own wife, and everyone has their own husband. 3 The husband fulfills the marital duty with the wife, and also the wife with the husband. 4 The woman has no power over her own body, but the husband; Nor does the husband have authority over his own body, but the wife. 5 Do not deny each other, unless for some time by mutual consent, to quietly engage in prayer; and come back together in one, so that Satan will not tempt you because of your incontinence.

God’s solution to the temptation of pornography or to covet a woman is to have her own partner and enjoy it. Ecclesiastes 9:9 Enjoy life with the woman you love, all the days of the life of your vanity that are given to you under the sun, all the days of your vanity; because this is your part in life, and in your work with which you work under the sun.

We must not covet the alien

A basis of the ten commandments is a clean relationship with your neighbors. Exodus 20:17 You shall not covet your neighbor’s house, you shall not covet your neighbor’s wife, nor his servant, nor his maid, nor his ox, nor his ass, nor anything of your neighbor. Our relationship with God is really seen in our relationship with our neighbors. First, we violate the sanctity and privacy of a naked woman’s body, and then this woman certainly has a husband who also violates her rights to her. That they do what they want to sin, but we don’t get into their sins. 1 Tim. 5:22 “do not participate in the sins of others. Keep yourself pure. ”

The Problem with Divorced

There is a serious problem in all this. If one is single and has strong sexual temptations, one should look for a good Christian girl and marry her. If one is married, then one must do everything possible to put his marriage in order, imposing God’s principles on it so that his own wife satisfies him, and you to her. But once married, one cannot marry again without causing more sins on top of sins. ((Matthew 5:32 But I tell you that he who repudiates his wife, except for the cause of fornication, causes her to commit adultery; and he who marries the repudiated, commits adultery.)) How then can the divorced person fight against sexual sins? The answer is very hard. This is complicated because God has honored marriage, which cannot be entered and left as one rents an apartment and is changed in a year. Marriage is much more serious, and we cannot enter it or break it slightly. If one decided to divorce, one should consider their future sexual needs. Sex is like a drug. Once you start, getting out of it is a fit of horrible anger, or worse, it is impossible.

1 Corinthians 7:10 But those who are united in marriage … That the woman not be separated from the husband, 11 and if she is separated, remain unmarried, or reconcile with her husband; and that the husband does not abandon his wife.

Philippians 4:8 For the rest, brothers, everything that is true, everything that is honest, everything that is fair, everything that is pure, everything that is kind, everything that is of good name; if there is any virtue, if anything worthy of praise, think about this.
