True Praise

Thou shalt fear the LORD thy God; him shalt thou serve, and to him shalt thou cleave, and swear by his name. He is thy praise, and he is thy God, that hath done for thee these great and terrible things, which thine eyes have seen. Deut 10:20-21
What is praise? How is it different from worship? (according to the Bible of course). Well, praise is to say something good about somebody. If a mother rises at 5:00 AM every day to prepare a good breakfast for her kids, does other beneficial things, then her children may “praise her” for the good that she has done them. When they do this publicly, then that is praise. So in praise, we publicly recognize the acts of God for humanity which are good, great, and excellent, and in so doing, reflect God’s benevolent character.
Psa. 22:3 But thou art holy, O thou that inhabitest the praises of Israel. In a sense, God dwells in these “praises of men”. God is highly pleased when men praise Him. The Psalmist presents God as living or inhabiting in the midst of these praises.
Psa 148:1 Praise ye the LORD. Praise ye the LORD from the heavens: praise him in the heights. 5 Let them praise the name of the LORD: for he commanded, and they were created. 6 He hath also stablished them for ever and ever: he hath made a decree which shall not pass. We are to praise our God because He is worthy to be praised (2Sam 22:4; 1Chr. 16:25). Praise begins and focuses on God. Praise does not start out as something emotional (although it can get emotional), but it is a spiritual activity of the will, something we are obligated to do. Praise is spiritual, and is created by the mind and soul meditating on God before seeking to be moved by the emotions (it neither excludes the emotion nor exalts them but allows them when it is appropriate). ec03 The Six Days of Creation examines the creation days, 24 hour periods, and other related points.

Genesis 1:1 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. John 1:3 All things were made by him; and without him was not anything made that was made. Colossians 1:16 For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him:
Many Christians fight over the six days of creation, trying to defend the concept that the six-day account was billions of years. The only reason for this is that they want to give room to the evolution that requires millions of years to “work”.
As people who believe in what God’s Word says, we must reject the need for millions of years in each day, and we reject anything contrary to what the Scriptures say.
We see in Genesis 1 and 2 where God clearly says that creation happened in 7 literal days. (On the seventh day, God rested from his work, but in doing so, he created the concept of a day of rest.) So, the days of creation, as the Bible presents it to us, are literal 24-hour days.

Genesis 1:1 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. Hebrews 11:3 Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.
The Bible presents God as having created the universe and everything that is in it. In contrast to the theory of evolution which teaches that man is the product of formation and evolution from simple forms of life into more complex forms of life, purely by chance, such as an automobile that constructs itself without outside help. The theory of evolution rejects the need of a master Creator and Genius Designer.

Not given to filthy lucre… teaching things which they ought not, for filthy’s lucre’s sake. Even a prophet of their own said the Cretians are always liars, evil beasts, slow bellies” Titus 1:7-12
Is Benny Hinn a great man of God filled with faith, gifted with the powers of healing and doing miracles or is he a false prophet? Well the truth is that he is no man of God, because every true man of God obeys the will of God, and follows the Word of God. Hinn was pastor of the church, “Orlando Christian Center” in Orlando, Florida, and later pastored “World Outreach Church” and after that “Faith World Church” when he launched himself into evangelism. Actually, he is the source and spokesman for the Word of Faith movement. Hinn takes in 100 million dollars a year, and lives in a $3.5 million dollar mansion, and stays in $2000/night hotels. He wrote “Good morning Holy Spirit,” which was very popular and sold 250,000 copies in the first two months.

Matthew 25:46 And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal.
There are only two eternal possibilities for any person.
Revelation 20:15 And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.
Revelation 21:27 And there shall in no wise enter into it (heaven) anything that defileth, neither whatsoever worketh abomination, or maketh a lie: but they which are written in the Lamb’s book of life.
In other words, God is who makes the eternal options. The Bible is very clear that we continue living eternally after our physical death. But the options that God has made are 1) to go to heaven with God for all eternity if our name is written in the book of life or 2) to go to hell if our name is not found in this book.
Luke 10:20 Notwithstanding in this rejoice not, that the spirits are subject unto you; but rather rejoice, because your names are written in heaven.
Everything about our eternal destiny after death lies in the point if our name is written in the book of life that God keeps for all the saved. So, how do I get my name in that book? Jesus writes your name there when you are saved, because you have received Him as your Savior.

Luke 17:5 And the apostles said unto the Lord, Increase our faith.
The apostles made a simple request. Jesus had taught them about faith. But the main point for them was that Jesus himself is the Messiah, the Christ, God incarnate so that He can give us salvation. It was almost impossible to believe this, but if you can find ever so small a piece of faith to believe it, like a small seed, it will grow to great proportions. With time, it will grow like a great, strong, and large tree. But as with the cultivation of trees, there are matters that are very important to observe.
John 4:48 Then said Jesus unto him, except ye see signs and wonders, ye will not believe.
The problem then is this of doubting, of wanting evidence, and this is the opposite of faith. The lack of faith is to doubt God, His power and ability to work.
Numbers 23:19 God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good? Titus 1:2… God which cannot lie promised…
Heb 6:18 it was impossible for God to lie… Psalms 101:7.

Exodus 23:2 Thou shalt not follow a multitude to do evil; neither shalt thou speak in a cause to decline after many to wrest judgment.
Many Christians seem defenseless when there is a lot of pressure from their friends or acquaintances to get them to “go along” with incorrect things, or in what doesn’t please God.
To be a Christian, the person absolutely has to have moral strength and courage to stand against the world and even against his friends at times, to declare what God says in the Bible as this is what we have to do, and definitely declare that the Bible way is what the Christian will do, even if there is a lot of pressure from others to do incorrect things. Pleasing God overrules pleasing friends.
