Catholicism and Ecumenism supporting error

Summary: Catholicism and Ecumenism examines how the Catholic Church is using Ecumenism to deceive other religions to unite with them in some way. TOPICS: What is Ecumenism? | A Change of Tactics | There is only one doctrine given to us from God and the Apostles | The Ecumenical Tactic | Our Biblical Attitude towards Falsehood

Ezequiel 13:10 Yes, because they deceived my people, saying: Peace, there being no peace ; …

Jeremiah 6:14 And they heal the wound of my people with lightness, saying: Peace, peace; And there is no peace.

There are many groups that call for peace between different religions in the world. They want to see a union between religions, and they want Christianity to recognize and work with other religious groups opposed to true Christianity. Ecumenism is attentive towards forming this union for religious peace, and simply ecumenism is to take steps to unite our beliefs with other groups to make an amalgamation between all groups.

ch22 Pastorless Flocks

Pastorless Flocks

Is it biblical for a church to be without a pastor?

The argument goes something like this. “Pastors are bad because they are dictators, and this is not biblical, then we should not have pastors. According to us, the Bible teaches that each church should have a plurality of elders where none is over any of the others, and no one is ‘in charge’, but everybody is equal. Each mature brother in the church should work as his heart leads him. The church won’t have economic problems like this…” This is like never going to another doctor because you went to one that made matters worse and overcharged you. Find a good doctor but don’t cross off all doctors! For those who assert that the ministry of pastor is not biblical, there is a simple answer, why does the word then occur in the Bible? Is it not a biblical concept? The word and concept are completely biblical, so why do people reject it? Continue reading

Remember them which have the rule over you, who have spoken unto you the word of God: whose faith follow, considering the end of their conversation. Hebrews 13:7

It is a grave error in Christianity of our day to gloss over as unimportant the idea that each minister should be an example of a man of God 1 Tim 3 and Titus 1, which marks the requirements of a man of God. We should insist that our ministers be good examples of what is a man of God, a copy of Christ, and if they aren’t, we should remove them, or leave that church.

pc46 Sins of Facebook

The Sins of Facebook

1Tim 5:13
And withal they learn to be idle, wandering about from house to house; and not only idle, but tattlers also and busybodies, speaking things which they ought not.

God prohibited the spread of information and getting involved in other people’s lives for the sole purpose of “just knowing about others” (curiosity). This prohibition is exactly the purpose of social networking, so what are we as Christians doing on social networks? We can probably legitimately “keep up” with family and close friends, but quickly it becomes tattling (repeating unsubstantiated stories and revealing personal information) and being a busybody in other people’s affairs.

Even though the title of this tract is “Facebook”, we are really speaking about any and all social networks. A computer is like a shovel, in and of itself, it is not wrong or bad, but if you hit somebody else over the head with it and kill them, then it is put to wrong use and becomes bad. It is not a sin to have a Facebook account, but depending on how you use it, it can quickly become sinful. Continue reading
